This compact water softener system is equipped with the latest technology in water softening. Designed with Demand Initiated Regeneration, this softener only regenerates brine and water when it needs to, unlike older systems that operate on a timer. This new way of softening not only provides your home with soft water, but also saves on energy and water costs. The shorter design of this small water softener system is perfect for smaller households. Connects to plumbing up to 1” in diameter.

Demand Initiated Regeneration
Whirlpool® units monitor your water softener’s water and salt usage and regenerate only when needed. This feature allows you to save on energy and water bills, whereas older units rely on timed systems that use a measured proportion of salt and water regardless of the amount used.
Salt Saving Technology
The WHES18 will continually provide soft water throughout your home while automatically monitoring your salt levels for the most efficient and cost-effective performance possible.
High Hardness Removal
This unit is rated to remove a maximum of 65 gpg of hardness.
Iron Removal
WHES18 features a backwash cycle to clean itself and your water supply of excess non-ferrous (clear water) iron. Ferrous iron removal up to 3ppm.
Do-It-Yourself Installation
Install this water softener easily with detailed instructions and all the pieces needed to connect to your plumbing. You will need connectors and enough tubing to connect the softener to your plumbing, access to a 110V outlet and a drain. See the owner’s manual for installation details.
1 Year Full Parts and Labor Warranty* – WHES18
This system is backed by a 1-year parts-and-labor warranty. The tank itself is backed by a 10-year warranty.
*Full parts and labor warranty may be extended up to 5 years with the use of Whirlpool Water Softener Cleanser (WHEC-WSC). See more details on this warranty extension.
