How To Install a Whirlpool® Water Filtration System

If you lack plumbing experience, you will need some patience but you can save yourself money by installing Whirlpool® water filters yourself.

Installation Tools You Will Need

Slotted and Phillips screwdrivers

Pliers and adjustable jaw wrench

Tubing or box cutter
4
Electric drill and 1-1/4” drill bit if mounting hole is needed for the faucet
5
Sealant tape such as Teflon® tape

Water Filters DIY Installation

When you get a Whirlpool® water filtration system, it comes complete with a decorative faucet, filters and the necessary hardware for a typical installation.

Water Filtration System Installation Steps

  1. Install a fitting (included) to the cold water supply.
  2. Create a hole for the filtered water faucet. If you have an existing hole, soap dispenser or water sprayer, you can remove and use this hole for your filtered water faucet.
  3. Install faucet (included)
  4. Connect tubing (included) from the system to the fitting and filtered water faucet.
